With the harmful effects of climate change no longer news in our present world, Wema bank has pledged full support for reducing carbon emission in the environment by adopting environmentally sustainable operations.
As the world at large strengthen its efforts to reduce climate change impacts drastically, Wema bank with the aim to boost operational efficiency along the sustainability lane, has embraced one of the environmentally friendly practices by providing 23 of its branches nationwide with solar energy.

We are already suffering the consequences of global warming, and as a socially responsible organization, Wema Bank commits to environmental sustainability through several initiatives.”
Purple Works, an initiative from Wema Bank, an electronic and document management system, is said to have increased operational efficiency and reduced its paper usage. It is recorded that 46 of its branches have generated over 7000kg to boost cleaner communities.
