We would like to remind you that the voting period for CAHR Awards Africa will officially end at midnight on Monday, 7 August 2023. This means you have only a few hours left to cast your votes and help us recognise the outstanding individuals and organisations that have been making a significant impact on human rights and communities across Africa.

Notable Categories and Prize Endowments

The Community and Human Rights (CAHR) Awards Africa is a platform that seeks to recognise and celebrate individuals and organisations that have made exceptional contributions to human rights and community development in Africa. This year, two categories have been identified for their outstanding impact, and we are pleased to share more details about them and the prize endowments they have received:

Apostle Hayford Alile Humanitarian Award

The Apostle Hayford Alile Humanitarian Award is named after the legendary philanthropist and humanitarian, Apostle Hayford Alile. This award is dedicated to honouring individuals who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to the well-being of others, compassion for the less fortunate, and a relentless drive to uplift communities in need. Apostle Hayford Alile has been a role model for countless people, exemplifying the true essence of altruism. His tireless efforts have led to significant positive changes in various communities across Africa. Through various humanitarian projects and initiatives, he has provided assistance to the most vulnerable, ensuring access to education, healthcare, and essential resources.

The prize endowment of N500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira only) associated with this award serves as a token of appreciation for the remarkable humanitarian efforts of the recipient. It also aims to encourage and support them in their continued pursuit of making a difference in the lives of others.

Josephine Nkemdilim Masade Community Empowerment Award

The Josephine Nkemdilim Masade Community Empowerment Award is dedicated to recognising companies that have displayed exceptional leadership in community development and empowerment. Josephine Nkemdilim Masade, the namesake of this award, was a driving force behind numerous community initiatives, fostering self-reliance, inclusivity, and sustainable growth. This award is given to recipients who have shown dedication and commitment to addressing community challenges, promoting economic development, and empowering marginalised groups by initiating programs that provide skill training, job opportunities, and support systems. Through these efforts, they have brought about transformative change and paved the way for a brighter future for many.

The prize endowment of N500, 000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira only)  associated with this award not only acknowledges the recipient’s remarkable efforts but also aims to support and strengthen their ongoing community empowerment projects. It also acts as an inspiration for others to step forward and actively engage in community development endeavours.
