…to train over 50 CSOs and NGO practitioners on fundamentals of organising effective digital fund-raising activities.
Lagos, 30 October 2018 – The 8th Civil Society Organisation Professionalism, Effectiveness and Therapy (CSO-CPET) workshop biannually organised by CSR-in-Action’s College of Sustainable Citizenship, in partnership with Access Bank Plc, is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 6 November 2018 at Access Bank Head Office, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The workshop themed: ‘Organising successful digital fundraising’ will converge over 50 participants from different civil society and non-profit organisations. Adejuwon Saheed, Chief Operating Officer of BuzzDigital, a foremost digital media firm specialising in digital marketing and communications, is scheduled to facilitate the training.
The training, which will be in two parts, will feature question and answer sessions, case studies, individual and group presentations, practical exercises and group assignments; all designed to effectively share knowledge on the theme.
Speaking on the upcoming training, Bekeme Masade-Olowola, Chief Executive of CSR-in-Action, stated that: ‘’The growth of mobile technology and social media has transformed the way that voluntary sector organisations fundraise and connect with their supporters. Although it has made it cheaper and easier to launch a campaign, it can be harder for some organisations to get their voice heard among millions of others. We found it necessary, therefore, to conduct this training in order that civil society organisations are able to effectively maximise digital media platforms to accrue sufficient funds for implementation of their various noble projects.’’
Ms. Masade-Olowola, once again, expressed appreciation to Access Bank for their unflagging commitment to hosting the workshop over the years.
To date, the C-PET training has witnessed participation from over 363 civil society organisations on various far-reaching initiatives, with diverse partners from world-class firms, including PwC, Total and Nigerian Breweries. The training remains free and available to registered CSOs and NGOs in Nigeria.
