Highlights from the 6th CAHR Africa Awards Ceremony

On Tuesday, 22 October 2024, the 6th edition of the Community and Human Rights (CAHR) Africa Awards took centre stage at the Ford Foundation office in Ikoyi, Lagos, bringing together a powerful network of advocates, corporate leaders, community organisers, and policy influencers from across the continent. More than an awards ceremony, the event served as a platform for reflection, recognition, and reaffirmation of our collective commitment to human rights and inclusive development in Africa.

Rooted in values of equity, empathy, and accountability, the CAHR Africa Awards has grown into one of the continent’s most respected recognition platforms for champions of community development and social justice. The 2024 ceremony was a vibrant showcase of resilience, diversity, and purpose spotlighting individuals and organisations who have shown that progress is not just possible, but inevitable when guided by integrity and the courage to act.
