As the driving force behind CSR-in-Action, BMO has been instrumental in championing sustainability as a vital discipline. Since 2011, she has advanced the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, promoting transparency, equity, and operational effectiveness across sectors in Nigeria and beyond. Her unwavering commitment has fostered positive changes in institutions and rural communities, empowering them to adopt sustainable practices that benefit everyone.
Under her visionary leadership, CSR-in-Action has pioneered several groundbreaking initiatives, including the Corporate Sustainable Investor Report (CSIR), endorsed by the United Nations, and the Community Engagement Standards (CES), adopted by the federal government of Nigeria. These innovative tools have transformed business practices and community engagement strategies, driving meaningful and lasting change.
B’MO has consistently promoted inclusive engagement and equitable development, also leading impactful conferences and co-founding networks like the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN), Business Coalition for Sustainable Development Nigeria (BCSDN), and the Telecommunication and Technology Sustainability Working Group (TTSWG).
In her new role on the board of the Global AI Council Africa, B’MO seeks to leverage AI for social good, shaping a future where AI drives sustainable development and inclusive growth across our continent.
