MTN Foundation

The MTN Foundation was incorporated in 2004 to drive MTN Nigeria’s various CSR initiatives. The MTN Foundation partners with both public and credible private organizations to execute sustainable projects in each of the chosen focus areas i.e. Health, Education and Economic Empowerment. The Foundation is made up of 8 members in their Board of Directors.

Schemes, Initiatives and Programmes organised and funded by the MTN Foundation includes:

2020 Highlights

In 2020, MTN introduced Project Zero, energy efficiency and carbon emission sustainability programme. The project seeks to leverage the latest technologies and services.

In 2020 also, MTN Group signed the UN Women Empowerment Principles – pledging its commitment to the advancement of gender equality and the empowerment of women – at MTN’s International Women’s Day event.

Major donations were made to support health workers and provide equipment at health centres for the COVID-19 pandemic.
