2020 Highlights
Fidelity Bank engaged in about 40 projects between 2019 and 2020 with 35 in 2019 and 5 in 2020, understandably so due to the pandemic. Some of the initiatives they engaged in are below;
The bank trained 3000 undergraduates from different tertiary institutions on skills acquisition through its youth empowerment programme. The Fidelity Youth Empowerment Academy (FYEA) was held at Sokoto State University in Sokoto. This was the 7th edition of the programme which encouraged youth to create wealth for themselves instead of searching endlessly for non-existing jobs. The programme trained participants on tailoring, make-up, fashion designing, cloth embellishment, cocktail and phone engineering.
In 2020, fidelity bank donated 5 million naira to the Kebbi State Government to help in the fight against the coronavirus. The funds are intended to be used to provide palliatives for vulnerable people. The bank has expressed its commitment to be an active partner in the fight against the virus by promising to provide more assistance.
