The situation
A large multinational convened a meeting inviting women in the manufacturing sector. Following that meeting, the company and other senior women attendees decided there was a need to organise the women into a collective to drive women representation in the industry.
What we did
CSR-in-Action was brought in to manage and implement the project for a period of 6 months to kick off strongly and incubate the process. Our activities included association registration, design of strategy, project management, event management, branding (including design of logo) and engagement of partners.
We set up a Steering Committee, developed the concept and governance structure, co-organised the launch, including the invitation of members.
Outcome
The organisation was successfully launched in December 2017 and is currently running under the partnership of the initial instigating organisation and two other corporate organisations.
