SUMMARY:Managing Your Non-Profit Finances and Business Continuity
DESCRIPTION:Facilitator:\n\n Dr Francis Okoye\, Faculty Member\, Lagos Bus
iness School\n\n\n\n\nThe 11th C-PET training was held virtually this year
due to the challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic\; an arrangement which was
a blessing in itself.  Over two hundred Civil Society Organisations (CSOs
) registered\, we shortlisted 100 and an extra 20 in case some had challeng
es attending and eventually hosted 60 participants from different Civil Soc
iety Organisations from different parts of the country and West Africa.\n\n
The session was deep and interactive as it was effortlessly delivered by th
e facilitator who had in-depth knowledge of financial management and financ
ial systems. The modules for the training were developed based on careful r
esearch by the facilitator and the CSR-in-Action team. Dr Francis Okoye t
ook participants through topics on financial management\, with modules on:
What does financial management mean for a non-profit?\, some of the key fin
ancial terms\, reports and tools\, addressing the financial health indicato
rs which funders look for and investigating possible strategies for non-pro
fit financial management during and post COVID-19.\n\nThe feedback from the
training session is indicative of learning having taken place and particip
ants’ satisfaction with the level of training received. The bar chart bel
ow indicates participants’ rating of their understanding and grasp of the
training components.\n\n\n\nAll five indicators on training experience had
over 90% agreement. This is on financial management\, financial systems an
d its applications. This shows an overwhelming satisfaction of the particip
ants for the training carried out.\n\n[wpdm_package id='10144']
